Super Star Scientist: Katy

Katy was our Super Star Scientist last week!! The materials that she used were: lemons, water, q-tip, paper and an iron. Katy showed us that if you have lemon juice on paper, and then use some sort of heat (example: iron) then the words will show up on the paper.
AWESOME JOB KATY!!!

Super Star Scientist: Molly

Our Super Star Scientist this morning was Molly! Molly did an awesome job at her experiment. She began her experiment by telling the class what she needed: eggs, vinegar, and a bowl. Molly had two containers that had eggs that had been sitting in the vinegar for three and seven days. She then told the class that when an egg sits in vinegar, the shell magically disappears.
AWESOME JOB MOLLY WITH HER MAGIC EGG!

Super Star Scientist: Dylan

Dylan was our Super Star Scientist today!! He began his experiment by telling the class the materials that he needed. He explained to us that he needed a clear soda bottle, 3/4 cup of water, oil, fizzing tablets, and food coloring. His experiment taught the class that oil and water DO NOT MIX. When he put the food coloring in the water/oil mix, it went straight to the bottom (where the water was). He then put in the fizzing tablets in the mixture which created bubbles that went straight to the top. It looked like a lava lamp :)
GREAT JOB DYLAN!!!!

Landon was our Super Star Scientist last week and he had an awesome experiment!! Landon told the class everything he needed which was a narrow bottle, hot and cold water, red food coloring, string, and a large glass jar! Landon taught the class that hot water floats on top of cold water!
GREAT JOB LANDON!!!
