Marvelous Me: Dylan

This week's Marvelous Me was Dylan!! Dylan brought his poster to school and let all the student's know what each picture was!! His mom even came to school and brought our class cookies!!

Fort Worth Nature Center

We got the opportunity to go to the Fort Worth Nature Center today!! Our class had an awesome tour guide, that even had an owl stick (Ms. Lanier loved this)!! We got lucky to get the tour of the prairie dog town! Our class had to be super quite so that we could see the prairie dogs running around. We got to see tracks of deer, and buffalo!! At the end of the tour we again had to be quite so we could see the bob cat, that now lives at the Nature Center because someone had him as a pet and took his claws out! Without his claws, the bobcat would not be able to survive. Inside the Nature Center our class got to see all types of turtles, snakes, beetles, catfish, american alligator and more!! When we were leaving the Nature Center, the students that were riding the bus even got to see BUFFALO! Thank you to all the parents and volunteers that came with us to the Nature Center! I know I really appreciated the help! I hope you enjoy the pictures!

This week we have been talking about animal habitats and what they need to survive. The students had to create a habitat of an animal of their choice!! All the projects looked AWESOME!!

Aidan's dad is an ER doctor and he came to our class and talked about what he does for a living! Who wouldn't want to be a DOCTOR!

Aidan's entire family came to our class!! His mom, dad, and two sisters!

Marvelous Me: Cole

This week, Cole was our Marvelous Me!! Cole's dad came to our classroom and talked to us about what he does! Cole's dad works with a telephone company! He brought the kids pieces of wire that they made bracelets and rings with! The kids had a blast! He also brought two cans and a wire and the kids got listen to each other talk!

O is for Octopus!!

Friday, September 28, we had cooking class!! We have been learning about animals from A to Z… and we focused on the letter O today in cooking! The students got to observe a hot dog that had been cut into 8 little strips (tentacles) and watched as the hot dog expanded. This expansion made the hot dog look like a O… O... OCTOPUS!! The kids got to enjoy their hotdog/octopus with ketchup and mustard!! The following are pictures from our cooking class!
